Dr. Daleen de Lange
Specialist Psychiatrist
I completed my basic medical degree at the Philipps University in
Marburg, Germany. The international exposure allowed me to enjoy
state of the art training and mentorship for seven years.
After graduating, I completed a two-year internship at Windhoek
Central Hospital and Katutura State Hospital. Subsequently, I worked as
a general practitioner in Windhoek and Otjiwarongo for approximately
eight years.
In order to specialize in Psychiatry, I returned to Germany and
completed my specialist training at the Psychiatric Centre Nordbaden in
Wiesloch.
The five-year course included a year of training in the field of
Neurology, since a number of psychiatric and neurological diseases
overlap.
In addition to the standard registrar training program, I enrolled for
and completed a three-year course on cognitive behavioural therapy.
I am passionate about mental health and about every visiting
individual with his/her own needs within a unique personal
context. I believe in working ethically and professionally, without
losing the human touch. I am a specialist in psychiatric disorders.
You are the specialist in being you. Together we’ll find a solution
that suits you best.
