Jana Vermeulen is a dedicated and compassionate Educational Psychologist based in Windhoek.

Jana’s journey into the field of psychology began with a passion for teaching. As she delved deeper into the study of behaviour, she found herself drawn to the psychology behind it. This led her to pursue a specialization in Educational Psychology.

Her teaching career started in a local primary school in Windhoek, where she taught Grade 1. Later, she embraced a new challenge, at another primary school, taking charge of the remedial center and overseeing emotional, social and academic matters within the school environment. During her work as a teacher she got married and became a mother of two as well as continuing her pursuits within the field of Educational Psychology. Jana’s commitment to her profession culminated in the completion of her master’s degree and internship, paving the way for her to become a private practitioner in Windhoek.

At her practice, she offers both psychotherapy services of individuals for various ages as well as psychometric assessments related to cognitive abilities, vocational aptitudes, school readiness and other related skills.

Child development across the phases and wellness related to life stressors are the areas that hold a special place in Jana’s heart. She is passionate about providing guidance and support to both children and their parents to foster healthy growth and development. Moreover, Jana has a special interest in working with neurodiversity. She strives to understand their and their parents’ unique needs and offers personalized strategies to facilitate their academic progress an overall functioning and happiness. Helping individuals manage their anxiety is also a keen interest of hers.
